Role Summary
As a Junior Designer you will supporting the main category designer in Sweatshirts and Jersey
Tops. You will be responsible for key products within a range. Working in conjunction with other
category designers and buyers to create a collection for the category, help shape range direction
and focal points as appropriate.
Role Responsibilities
- To design and develop FatFace products appropriate to the trends and produce design
briefs/packs for the direct supply base and to achieve high quality first samples within
the critical path timing
- To develop garments for own category and department design team where needed
- Design detailed artworks for graphics and surface designer
- Conduct market research in stores to identify what the latest trends are and competitors
ranges
- Providing advice on initial samples, ensuring manufactured garments match initial
design specifications
- Liaise with Buyers on costs/margins to ensure that the range can realistically be bought
within given budgets
- Design ranges with the Buyer based on sales and trend information.
