About Palfinger UK
Palfinger UK has been the exclusive UK distributor for PALFINGER lorry loader cranes and Epsilon recycling cranes since 1990. We're part of the TH White Group and work closely with PALFINGER AG in Austria, one of the world's leading manufacturers of crane and lifting technology.
Our Dartford depot opened in April 2025 as a major investment for the business. It's a purpose-built, 13,000 sq ft workshop with eight fully equipped bays, an overhead crane, dedicated testing infrastructure and the latest manufacturer diagnostic and specialist tooling.
Duties:
Our workshop engineers service, maintain and repair premium Palfinger and Epsilon lorry loader cranes in our Dartford workshop. The work covers hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and software systems on technically advanced, premium machinery.
Day-to-day you will:
- Service, maintain and repair Palfinger and Epsilon lorry loader cranes
- Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, mechanical and electrical faults
- Carry out inspections to legal and manufacturer standards
- Complete accurate job records and service documentation
- Work with genuine parts, specialist tooling and factory diagnostic systems
Requirements:
You don't need crane experience. If you understand hydraulics and have maintained similar equipment, we'll train you on the product.
You could be currently working on:
- Lorry loader, knuckle boom or similar cranes
- Agricultural machinery (tractors, combines or telehandlers)
- Forklifts or material handling equipment
- Powered access platforms or aerial work platforms
- Construction plant (excavators, dumpers, dozers)
- Tail lifts or vehicle-mounted hydraulic equipment
Essential:
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic machinery in a service or workshop environment
- Competent in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnosis
- Methodical approach to fault-finding
- Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or equivalent)
Training and progression
