About us
Citritek provides water safety monitoring for a wide range of clients – hospitals, banks, corporate offices, utility companies and more. We install wireless sensors that track water temperatures and conditions in real-time, helping buildings stay compliant with safety regulations and protecting people from waterborne infections. We're small (which means you'll really matter) and growing (which means there's scope to grow with us).
Escape the office. Every week is different.
We're looking for someone who'd rather be working on or visiting customer sites than stuck behind a desk. You'll visit a real variety of sites across the UK – hospitals one day, a City of London bank the next, an industrial water treatment plant the day after.
You'll manage your own schedule, build relationships with site teams, and take real ownership of your work. This is a role for someone who wants autonomy and variety, not routine and micromanagement.
What you'll actually do
Most of your time is spent on site – hospitals, corporate offices, data centres, industrial facilities – installing and configuring wireless sensor systems, water sampling and testing for Legionella compliance, routine maintenance and troubleshooting, and building relationships with facilities managers and estates teams.
You'll also handle some desk-based work from home – writing up reports, supporting customers remotely, keeping documentation in order.
What we're looking for
We'll train you on Legionella control, water hygiene regulations, and our monitoring technology. What we need is someone who is:
- Good with people – you'll meet facilities managers and site teams every day, and need to build trust quickly
- Comfortable walking on to an unfamiliar site and figuring out what needs doing
- Tech-savvy – you'll use apps, data systems, and spreadsheets daily. If you can build a pivot table, you'll be fine
- Practically minded – the kind of person who'd know how to turn off the water, top up a combi boiler, or put up a shelf without too much fuss
- Happy to travel and stay away when the job needs it (typically 4-5 per month, sometimes more)
- Self-directed – you won't have someone looking over your shoulder
You might come from: trades or technical roles, ex-forces, field service, healthcare facilities, or somewhere else entirely. We're open-minded – attitude matters more than qualifications.
This role isn't for you if...
- You want a predictable 9–5 in one location
- You're uncomfortable staying away from home regularly
- You prefer constant supervision or direction to stay on track
What you'll need
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Comfortable with travel across England and regular overnight stays (5-6 per month)
What's in it for you
- £29,000–£34,000 depending on experience
- Company vehicle
- Home-based when not on site – no commuting to an office
- Genuine training and development in a specialist sector
- Small company where your contribution really counts
Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Company car
- Company events
- Company pension
- Free parking
- On-site parking
- Sick pay
- Work from home
Work Location: On the road
