About the Role
We’re a growing water and drainage services company based in the Scottish Borders, delivering reliable, high‑quality services to domestic, commercial and utility clients. As our workload continues to expand, we’re looking for a hands‑on Operations Manager who can lead our teams, strengthen our processes and help shape the next stage of our development.
This is a key role with real influence, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving systems and supporting people to do their best work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage operatives and supervisors across water and drainage works
- Oversee day-to-day site operations and programmes
- Use management software to track labour, plant and performance
- Control budgets, costs and productivity
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
- Maintain compliance with permits, RAMS and utility provider requirements
- Liaise with clients, water companies and subcontractors
Preferred Requirements
- Proven experience in water and drainage or utilities operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good commercial and budget control awareness
- Solid knowledge of health & safety and utilities compliance
- Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities
