Key Responsibilities of the Learning Coach Role:
- Delivering targeted academic support to students across KS3–KS5
- Supporting students 1:1 and in small intervention groups
- Helping students build confidence, organisation, motivation and independence within education
- Providing booster support for students preparing for GCSEs and assessments
- Acting as a positive role model and mentor for young people across the school
- Supporting students with additional needs including ADHD, Autism, SEMH and communication difficulties where required
- Building strong professional relationships with students, teachers and pastoral teams
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
- Supporting classroom learning across a variety of subjects
- Helping students remain focused, engaged and confident within lessons
What We Are Looking For:
- Graduates with a strong academic background (2:1 or above preferred)
- Russell Group graduates particularly encouraged to apply
- Individuals with previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work or school-based experience
- Strong communicators with confident, warm and professional personalities
- Graduates considering long-term careers within education or child-focused professions
- Candidates who can build rapport easily with secondary-aged students
- Proactive, reliable and adaptable team players
- Individuals comfortable supporting students both academically and pastorally
