Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our brand new nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role requires effective communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage a team while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursery room, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's development in line with early years frameworks.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
- Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed to enhance their professional development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and planning next steps in their learning journey.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations regarding childcare.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A passion for childcare coupled with the ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
