NEW MANAGER REQUIRES A COOK FOR CARE HOME
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Duties
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of meals according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist with meal planning and portion control to minimise waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor ingredients stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and cleaning protocols
- Serve dishes to guests in a professional manner, ensuring presentation meets company standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- A passion for cooking and delivering exceptional customer service
