We are recruiting for a Bench Fitter to join an established engineering and manufacturing environment.
The role involves bench fitting, assembly and finishing work, using hand tools and manual machinery. Flexibility is important as duties will vary depending on production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Bench fitting using hand tools and manual machinery
- Read and work from technical drawings and process sheets
- Deburring, cleaning, lapping and grinding components
- Split and reassemble seal rings
- Bond inserts into seal rings
- Inspect completed work and complete paperwork
- Pack finished goods for dispatch
- Work safely and meet OTIF production targets
- Support other production duties when required
- Overtime may be required
Requirements
- Around 5 years' engineering or manufacturing experience
- Mechanical and assembly experience
- Good understanding of Health & Safety
- Able to read technical drawings
- Good communication skills
- Able to work as part of a small team
- Engineering qualification would be beneficial
