Job Summary
Select Installations Limited has a great opportunity for an Approved Electrician to join our Renewables team in a mobile role covering work in the Midlands area.
You'll be joining a talented team carrying out ASHP, Solar, ESH and Ventilation installations You will thrive on giving great customer service and keeping jobs on track and have the drive to make sure the work is completed to spec. You will have a right first-time mentality ensuring the Customer is at the centre of everything you do.
The role is varied, and no two days are the same! It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return you'll have the support of a great team!
We want somebody who can:
A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service.
Ideally you will have
- Served an apprenticeship in Electrical or obtained an equivalent NVQ L3 & City & Guilds L3 in Electrical installation, commissioning, and certification
- AM2
- City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent in testing and inspection
- 18th Edition regulation (ideally you will have amendment 4 2026, but not critical for the role)
- Level 3 in the installation of Small-Scale Solar PV and Battery Systems
- ECS / JIB Gold Card
- Part F qualification – Training can be provided
We are looking for someone who has:
- Sound experience in delivering a range of electrical work and services in a domestic setting
- Previous experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Full current valid driving Licence essential as this is a mobile role
Who you would be working for:
You would be working in our renewables department, bringing energy efficiency measures to Social Housing Tenants.
We work with a number of Social Housing groups in the Midlands area, providing renewable, energy efficient installations, including ASHP, Solar PV (and battery)
As the installations are installed via the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) knowledge of the installation compliance requirements is advantageous, but on the job, training will be provided.
We are NICEIC PAS, MCS and Trustmark accredited.
This is a full time Sub-Contractor role, so own vehicle is essential.
Top rates paid for the right person(s)
Pay: £250.00-£500.00 per day
