Support Worker
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide vital assistance to individuals in our community. This role involves fostering independence, offering emotional support, and assisting with daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in mentoring and working with children, along with a passion for teaching and empowering others. Support Workers play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those they support, ensuring they feel valued, safe, and included.
Duties
- Offer personalised support to individuals, helping them achieve their daily goals and maximise their independence
- Provide mentoring and guidance to promote confidence and self-esteem
- Assist with organising activities that encourage learning, socialisation, and development
- Support children in their educational and recreational pursuits, fostering a positive environment for growth
- Implement teaching strategies tailored to individual needs to facilitate learning and skill development
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of support provided
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies at all times
Requirements
- Experience working with children or in a similar support role is highly desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Full UK driving licence (Mandatory). Minimum 3–4 years' experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar care role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Right to work in the UK.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
