Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead an established children’s residential home. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader to continue developing a stable and child-focused service, support an existing staff team, and drive high standards of care and compliance.
The successful candidate will work within a supportive senior management structure while having the autonomy to lead the home effectively and positively influence outcomes for children and young people.
### Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the home remains compliant with all relevant legislation, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Ofsted Quality Standards
* Provide strong leadership to maintain a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people
* Lead, supervise, and develop the existing residential care team
* Promote and embed safeguarding practices across the service
* Oversee care planning, risk management, and positive outcomes for young people
* Maintain high standards of recording, reporting, and operational practice
* Monitor and improve service quality, ensuring readiness for Ofsted inspections
* Build positive relationships with placing authorities, external professionals, and families
* Drive the home towards achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
### Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Previous experience within children’s residential care in a leadership or management role
* Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements
* Experience leading and developing staff teams
* Excellent safeguarding knowledge and child-centred practice
* Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and confidently within a supportive management structure

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
