Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Areas covered are predominantly London & surrounding counties as well as Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire. Early morning start required.
Responsibilities
- Operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of products, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly to management.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver is preferred.
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
