At Grant McGregor, an award winning IT Managed Service & Security Provider, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth by connecting the right customers with the right solutions.
This is a principle-led role focused on building strong, long-term relationships, qualifying the right opportunities, and delivering clear, high-quality proposals that set both our customers and our teams up for success.
Compensation Structure
- Base Salary: £40,000
- Commission: 20% commission payable from day one on all closed deals
- No minimum threshold or cap on commission earnings
- On-Target Commission: Up to £96,000 (uncapped earning potential)
- Accelerator: Commission increases to 25% once gross margin targets are achieved
What you’ll do:
- Build and develop relationships through networking, referrals and targeted outreach.
- Lead structured discovery conversations to understand customer challenges, risks and goals.
- Shape and present tailored solutions across Managed Support, Microsoft 365 and Cyber Essentials.
- Create clear, deliverable proposals and commercially sound agreements.
- Manage a strong pipeline of well-qualified opportunities aligned to our Ideal Customer Profile.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in B2B business development or sales, ideally within IT or managed services.
- Strong consultative skills – confident in discovery, qualification and stakeholder engagement.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs and service quality.
- Clear and confident communicator with strong proposal-writing skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and cyber security fundamentals is an advantage.
