Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator Setter for the afternoon shift to join our manufacturing team hours of work 14:00 till 21:45. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines Safan and LVD to bend and shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that each component meets quality standards while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate press brake machines according to specifications, ensuring proper tooling and mechanical adjustments are in place.
- Operate press brake equipment to accurately bend sheet metal components, adhering to detailed work orders and technical drawings.
- Monitor machine performance during production runs, making real-time adjustments for optimal output quality.
- Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality, utilizing hand tools and measurement devices.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and tooling replacement to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues, resolve setup problems, and improve workflow efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, and quality checks for documentation purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience operating and setting up press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and machinery maintenance.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques such as grinding, welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools.
- Basic math skills for measuring materials, calculating angles, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to machine operation and metalworking environments.
- Prior experience working with sheet metal components or in a similar role is highly preferred.
