Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring timely delivery of dishes that meet safety and quality standards
- Oversee food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with team members to plan menus, allocate tasks, and optimize workflow during busy service periods
- Provide mentorship and training to new hires and existing staff to foster skill development and teamwork
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment by enforcing cleanliness protocols and safety guidelines
- Support serving staff during peak hours to ensure seamless guest service experiences
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of culinary practices and hospitality standards
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for sanitation and hygiene
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable; serving experience is a plus but not mandatory
