As Receptionist, responsibilities include, upselling the hotel and local area plus overseeing a busy reception area, you will be dealing with guests checking in/out, enquiries, whilst also having the experience to work in the bar, kitchen and restaurant areas, being flexible within your role supporting any department in line with business demands. Successful candidate will be required to cover night shifts as part of their job role in the event of Night Auditors holidays or emergencies.
Key aspects to the role are as follows:
- Provide a personal welcome for guests and create a warm and friendly atmosphere
- Handle any guest complaints or issues, reporting them and any incidents that occur to the General Manager
- Encourages synergy within the marketplace by applying the inter-hotel coordination policy'
- Personally and frequently verifies that guests in the operation are receiving the best possible service available
- Schedules to be on the front during peak operation hours, checking on standards of services, cleanliness, welcomes guests and assists with the check in of guests and escorts VIP guest to their room
- Ensure that corporate, divisional and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all levels
- Liaises closely with other departments and emphasises on excellent inter-departmental relations
- Delegates authority and responsibilities to team members where appropriate
- Maintain all hotel records and forms as prescribed by established policies and procedures
- Night Public area Cleaning
- Takes appropriate decisions to deal with emergencies, be they as a result of power outage, sudden breakdown of working equipment, delayed supplies etc…
