Diamond Associate is recruiting compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Assistants on behalf of a home care provider based in Milton Keynes. This temporary role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting individuals to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes.
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs, helping with daily living activities while promoting dignity, respect, and independence. We are looking for caring, dependable individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality support and building positive relationships with the people they care for.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and safe moving and handling practices.
- Assist with medication in line with care plans and company procedures.
- Prepare meals and drinks while considering individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Carry out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
- Encourage clients to maintain their independence and participate in daily activities where possible.
- Accurately complete care records and report any changes in clients' health or wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care.
- Travel between clients' homes within the Milton Keynes area.
Experience
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, residential care, healthcare, or support work is desirable but not essential.
- A caring, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A willingness to undertake training and follow care plans and safeguarding procedures.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the nature of the role.
- Right to work in the UK.
