Responsibilities
- Pack products securely and accurately for shipment, ensuring that all items are properly labelled.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage packing processes.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure that all packed items meet company standards.
- Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage of products.
- Assist with picking and packing orders as required, maintaining an organised workspace.
- Handle heavy lifting and ensure proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Skills
- Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with a good understanding of warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous for efficient materials handling.
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic troubleshooting of packing equipment is beneficial.
- Proficiency in picking and packing processes, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment.
- Strong skills in quality control practices to maintain high standards of product integrity.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures is desirable for effective logistics management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, adhering to health and safety regulations.
