About the Role
JAM CARE is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Complex Care Assistants to join our growing team, providing high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes across the Shrewsbury area, including Bicton Heath, Condover & Cross Houses.
JAM CARE is not a domiciliary care company. You will support one client for the entire duration of your shift, giving you the opportunity to build a trusting relationship while delivering consistent, personalised care tailored to their individual needs.
This is a permanent employed position with guaranteed contracted hours. We support individuals with a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, neurological conditions, chronic pain conditions, brain and spinal injuries, learning disabilities, mental health needs, genetic conditions, and complex behaviours

Current Vacancies
Bicton Heath, Shrewsbury
- £14.00 per hour
- 12-hour wake nights (8am-8pm)
- Permanent position
- Support a female client with a learning impairment. Our client has minimal communication she enjoys swimming & horse riding
Cross houses, Shrewsbury
- £13.00 per hour
- 10 hour days (8am-6pm)
- Permeant position
- Supporting a female client with cerebral palsy & epilepsy. Our client enjoys spending time with her family and doing arts and crafts.
Condover, Shrewsbury
- £14.75 per hour
- 12 hour days & nights (8am-8pm/8pm-8am)
- Permanent position
- Support a male client with Frederich Ataxia. Our client is a wheelchair user and likes to go out into the community.
Key Responsibilities
As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred support to clients with a range of complex care needs, including:
- Providing personal care and support with daily living activities
- Supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism
- Managing and responding appropriately to behaviours that may challenge
- Supporting clients with epilepsy, including seizure management
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments, and established routines
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and overall wellbeing
- Assisting with mobility and meeting individual physical care needs
- Providing emotional, social, and practical support
- Maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive environment
- Encouraging clients to achieve their personal goals and maximise their independence

Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months’ UK care experience
- Valid right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Excellent communication skills
- A caring, patient, and reliable approach
