Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
- Assist in meal preparation for special events or large groups as required
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience is essential, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not required
