Operations Manager
Full Time Reporting to: Store Manager / Deputy Store Manager
Role Purpose
To support the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager in delivering day-to-day operational standards while leading a section or team on the shop floor. The Supervisor is responsible for driving service, standards, and performance within their area, ensuring consistent execution of company procedures and brand expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations & Process Control
- Support daily store operations within assigned section.
- Ensure company procedures are followed consistently by the team.
- Carry out daily operational checks and report issues.
- Ensure documentation relevant to section is completed accurately.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
- Follow and reinforce Health & Safety procedures.
- Ensure cash handling and till procedures are followed correctly.
- Support shrinkage prevention measures.
- Report incidents, losses or breaches immediately.
3. Stock Operations
- Support delivery processing and stock organisation.
- Ensure stockroom and shop floor standards within section.
- Support replenishment and stock availability.
- Assist with stock counts and stock takes.
4. Payroll & Hours Administration
- Support accurate clocking in/out.
- Monitor breaks and adherence to rota.
- Report absence and lateness to management.
5. Cost & Resource Awareness
- Use resources responsibly.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Support cost control through good housekeeping.
6. Systems & Reporting
- Use internal systems correctly.
- Report operational or performance issues to management.
- Support data accuracy.
7. Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate the team on the shop floor.
- Deliver task allocation and follow-up.
- Coach team members on standards and behaviours.
- Act as a role model.
8. Customer Experience
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Resolve customer issues within level of authority.
- Ensure section presentation supports strong customer experience.
