Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to support individuals in care homes and within their own homes. Days, nights & twighlight shift patterns. The successful candidate will provide essential assistance with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of clients. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives through personalised care and support. The position is paid, and full training will be provided to develop your skills further.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily routines in accordance with their care plans
- Encourage social interaction and mental stimulation through engaging activities
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
- Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring as required
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as tidying, laundry, and meal preparation
- Drive clients to appointments or outings if necessary, ensuring safety at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation
- Familiarity with care plans and basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining accurate records
- Excellent communication skills in English are essential for building rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
