Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, friendly and detail-oriented Pharmacy Supervisor, to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading the dispensary team and accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. Duties
- Leadership role includes managing the dispensing team.
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with doctor’s instructions and pharmacy protocols.
- Assist pharmacists in managing stock levels, including ordering and inventory control.
- Maintain detailed records of dispensed medicines and patient interactions in accordance with legal requirements .
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations at all times .
- Support patient care initiatives by offering friendly and professional assistance.
- Answering queries in person and over the phone in a professional manner.
- Working on the counter, serving customers and handling queries.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards in the pharmacy, ensuring the shop and dispensary are clean, tidy and well presented.
Skills
- Prior experience as a pharmacy Supervisor or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Minimal NVQ Level 2 qualification is required. NVQ Level 3 is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise dispensing errors
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards within healthcare settings.
- Confident working over the counter with the public.
- Strong sense of cleanliness and organisation, with good house keeping skills.
- Friendly, approachable and able to work as part of a smal team.
- Reliable and punctual.
