Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Responsible for and support of the local UK and Czech Republic accounting operations attributed to Procurement, Travel/Employee Expense Reporting, Payroll Accounting, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Tax, Compliance, and Team Management;

Complete the monthly close and internal/external financial reporting process, which includes financial statement reporting of to the U.S. Corporate office;

Responsible for U.S. and Statutory GAAP compliance and coordination with external auditors;
- Facilitate compliance with tax regulations and requirements, including intercompany transfer pricing compliance and other tax initiatives;
- Facilitate Treasury operations including local country banking relationships;

Partner with the U.S. Financial Planning and Analysis function to facilitate the budget, forecast, and financial analysis processes;

Complete the integration of new acquisitions, system implementations, and other strategic business initiatives;

Lead financial internal control and process improvement initiatives, along with the maintenance of accounting policies and procedures; and

Responsible for ensuring staff receives proper training/oversight to ensure effective performance in their roles.
Competitive Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates have a minimum 10 years of experience working in international accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance functions, preferably with a publicly traded or pre-IPO U.S. based company, with a background in public accounting and experience with Sage Intacct and other statutory reporting ERP systems. The equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required, with a Master’s degree and CPA license (or the equivalent) preferred. Candidates should have an extensive understanding of UK GAAP and Czech Republic GAAP. Required skills include ability to operate in a fast-paced international environment, professional and strong communication skills, stakeholder management skills across multiple jurisdictions, attention to detail but with also the ability to see the big picture, the ability to work efficiently to complete responsibilities on schedule, a strong initiative and desire to find solutions to problems, and the desire to learn and adapt in an ever-changing work environment.
