Overview
We are seeking skilled Carpenters / Decorators and to join our dynamic team. This role involves transforming spaces through expert Carpentry/ painting and decorating techniques, contributing to both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and experience in driving and construction painting. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently during decorating tasks
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout each project
- Assist with site setup and breakdown at the beginning and end of each job
Requirements
- Proven experience in decorating or construction painting is preferred
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation between sites
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to decorating work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
