Job Overview
We are recruiting for a Forklift MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Instructor to join our team as a self-employed professional. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive forklift operation training to companies across the UK. We require the individual to be accredited with either AITT or RTITB.
Duties
- Develop engaging lesson plans and practical training modules for forklift operation based on industry standards and safety regulations
- Conduct hands-on training sessions with learners, demonstrating proper forklift handling, safety procedures, and operational techniques
- Assess learner performance through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, assessment results, and certification documentation
- Communicate effectively with learners of diverse backgrounds, ensuring clarity of instructions and fostering a positive learning environment
- Stay updated on the latest forklift safety standards, industry best practices, and relevant IT tools used for training delivery
- Organise training schedules that accommodate various learner needs while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety
Requirements
- Have their own transport
- RTITB or AITT registered
- Proven experience in teaching or instructing forklift operation or related MHE equipment
- Able to deliver training over multiple shifts including nights.
- Knowledge of IT tools used for training delivery, record-keeping, and learner assessments
- Basic understanding of plumbing or related technical skills is a plus but not mandatory
- Exceptional communication skills to engage learners effectively and address their individual needs
- Ability to work independently as a self-employed instructor while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
Please note this would be a self employed position and not a full time role.
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
