Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness at a commercial premises. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to creating a hygienic environment for staff and visitors alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience to contribute to a professional and well-maintained workspace.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces in designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and used correctly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during cleaning activities
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning routines to management promptly
- Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and security within the premises
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a high standard of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and time management abilities
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is advantageous
