About the role
As a Registered Nurse at Autumn House, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care.
You’ll lead and support the care team during your shift, using your clinical knowledge and experience to ensure residents’ individual needs, wishes and choices are understood and respected.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing residents’ nursing and healthcare needs and developing appropriate care plans
- Planning, implementing and evaluating high-quality, person-centred care
- Creating, reviewing and maintaining accurate and robust care plans
- Providing clinical guidance and leadership to the wider care team
- Leading, motivating and supporting colleagues to ensure the safe and effective day-to-day running of the unit
- Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in residents’ health and emergency situations
- Communicating effectively with residents, relatives, colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control
- Ensuring care is delivered in line with company policies, professional standards and relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Supporting, coaching and mentoring members of the nursing and care team
- Promoting residents’ independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing at all times
About you
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Have a compassionate, caring and resident-focused approach
- Understand the responsibilities and professional boundaries of the nursing role
- Be passionate about providing high-quality care for older people
- Have strong clinical assessment and care-planning skills
- Be confident leading and supporting a care team
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues and other healthcare professionals
- Be committed to maintaining high standards of clinical practice, safety and dignity
