About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and energetic Restaurant and Bar Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of the bar at Hotel Tyn-y-Coed. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the bar, supporting the team during busy service periods, and helping to maintain a smooth and well-organised operation.
You’ll support bar standards, assist with team supervision, help manage stock and cash handling, and play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the day-to-day and evening operation of the hotel bar
- Working hands-on behind the bar during service, especially on busy nights
- Supervising the bar team on shift, allocating duties and maintaining service standards
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures, including cashing up and end-of-day tasks
- Supporting stock ordering, deliveries, stock takes, and waste control
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, Challenge 25, and Health & Safety procedures
- Handling guest feedback professionally and positively
- Working closely with hotel management to support the overall guest experience
What will you need?
- Previous food & beverage or bar supervisory experience
- Confidence supporting busy service periods and evening operations
- Good knowledge of licensing requirements and cash handling procedures
- A positive, approachable, and organised attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading times
