Role Overview
We are looking for a driven Site Supervisor to oversee reactive maintenance repairs within a prestigious educational establishment. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong operational control, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver against strict KPIs.
You will manage operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard—minimising turnaround times and maximising client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day delivery of reactive maintenance repairs
- Manage and support operatives and subcontractors on site
- Ensure works meet KPIs including turnaround times and first-time fix rates
- Coordinate closely with planners/schedulers to optimise workflows
- Monitor job progress, quality, and health & safety compliance
- Liaise with client, ensuring excellent customer care
- Resolve issues quickly to minimise delays and repeat visits
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation
Essential Criteria
- Strong background in managing maintenance contracts
- Experience supervising trades or contractors within construction or property maintenance
- Excellent leadership, communication and customer relationship skills
- Proven ability to meet KPIs (e.g. turnaround times, first-time fix rates)
- Ability to manage multiple jobs under pressure
- SMSTS and CSCS Supervisor/Manager Card
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Criteria
- Experience ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Experience monitoring contract performance, costs and operational efficiency.
- NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision or equivalent
