Big Motoring World is looking for an experienced and motivated Valet Manager to join our team.
As a Valet Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the valeting team, ensuring vehicles are cleaned, prepared and presented to a high standard before reaching our customers.
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead the team, manage workloads, maintain quality standards and ensure vehicles are prepared efficiently to meet customer delivery deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the valeting team, allocating workloads and monitoring productivity.
- Ensure vehicles are valeted to company standards and completed within agreed timescales.
- Carry out regular quality checks to ensure vehicles meet our presentation standards.
- Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
- Address performance, attendance and timekeeping issues where required.
- Plan and prioritise workloads to maintain an efficient flow of vehicles.
- Work closely with workshop and preparation teams to support daily operations.
- Monitor team performance against daily targets and expectations.
- Communicate daily priorities, targets and vehicle progress to the team and management.
- Report any delays, issues, hazards or equipment faults to management.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and equipment and chemicals are used correctly.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience within a valeting or vehicle preparation environment.
- Has experience supervising or leading a team.
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of their work.
- Can effectively organise workloads and manage competing priorities.
- Is confident communicating with both team members and management.
- Can motivate a team and lead by example.
- Has a strong understanding of health and safety within a working environment.
- Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Is reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
