Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised hair styling and barbering services to clients, ensuring their needs and preferences are met with professionalism and care
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients warmly, managing appointments efficiently, and addressing any enquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hair styling and barbering to offer contemporary and fashionable looks
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired outcomes and offer expert advice on styles, colours, or treatments
- Assist with retail sales of hair products and accessories to enhance client satisfaction and business growth
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and workstations are sanitised regularly in compliance with hygiene regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service within a salon or barbering environment is preferred
- Skills in hair styling and barbering techniques, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging confidently with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also demonstrating independence when required
- Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently
- A professional attitude with a passion for delivering high standards of service
- Previous experience in hair styling or barbering is desirable but not essential; training opportunities will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: From £13.77 per hour
