Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years professional looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your career, take on a leadership role and make a real difference to young children's lives?
At Jigsaw Pre-School, we are looking for a warm, caring and motivated individual to join our friendly and dedicated team as our new Job Share Deputy Manager, alongside one additional day as an Early Years Educator.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has leadership or senior practitioner experience, as well as someone who is ready to take the next step in their early years career. If you have the passion and commitment, but would like to develop your leadership skills further, training and support will be provided.
About the Role
Working closely with our Manager and fellow Deputy, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running, leadership and development of our pre-school.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Help lead and inspire our friendly team of practitioners.
- Support the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the pre-school.
- Promote high-quality teaching, learning and care through play.
- Help ensure we continue to provide an environment where every child can feel safe, valued, happy and able to thrive.
- Support the implementation of the EYFS and our safeguarding responsibilities.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, families and other professionals.
- Support colleagues with their development and contribute to maintaining high standards of practice.
- Be a positive role model and help create a welcoming, supportive team environment.
Alongside your Deputy Manager responsibilities, you will spend one day each week working as an Early Years Educator.
Both roles involve being hands-on with the children, creating engaging, meaningful learning experiences through play and helping every child reach their individual potential. You will also take on the important role of Key Person for a group of children, building those special relationships that make such a difference during their early years.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Ideally has previous leadership or senior practitioner experience within an Early Years setting.
- Alternatively, is ready to progress from their current Early Years role into leadership — full support and training will be given.
- Has a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development.
- Is confident, organised, approachable and able to communicate effectively.
- Is passionate about providing children with the very best start in life.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting colleagues.
- Builds positive and trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Is enthusiastic about making a genuine difference to children's learning, development and wellbeing.
Why Join Jigsaw?
At Jigsaw Pre-School, we believe that our team are just as important as the children we care for.
We offer:
- A friendly, supportive and welcoming team.
- A role where your ideas, skills and experience are valued.
- Opportunities for professional development, training and career progression.
- The chance to develop your leadership skills in a supportive environment.
- A rewarding role where you can see the difference you make every day.
- The opportunity to become an important part of our Jigsaw community.
- A varied role combining leadership and hands-on practice with children.
