Duties
- Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and merchandising
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and engagement
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and employee orientation to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, purchasing, pricing strategies, and shrink reduction
- Handle cash handling procedures, cashiering duties, and POS (Point of Sale) system management with accuracy
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales
- Maintain excellent communication with staff and customers to foster a welcoming environment and resolve issues promptly
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Proficiency in retail math, bookkeeping, budgeting, inventory management, merchandising, and store operations
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, pricing strategies, and retail sales management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with effective communication skills and team management expertise
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail is preferred
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required
