Overview
Join our dynamic roofing team as a Roofer and bring expert craftsmanship to residential and commercial roofing projects. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs with precision and safety at the forefront. Duties
- Install various roofing systems, including EPDM rubber systems, tile and slate re-roofs and repairs, all aspects of chimney work and Lead work to ensure secure and weatherproof coverings
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as tiles, rubber, and insulation to facilitate efficient project progress
- Careful removal and installation of fascias, soffits and gutterings
- Utilize carpentry skills for framing, trimming, and finishing work related to roof construction or repairs
- Apply masonry and plumbing knowledge for specialized roofing applications involving chimneys, vents, or drainage systems
- Maintain safety protocols during all phases of work, including proper use of ladders, scaffolding and personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to construction site regulations
- Ensure the site is tidy, cleared and safe throughout the working day and at the end of the project
- Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing projects preferred; familiarity with residential or commercial roofing is a plus
- Hands-on experience working with technical drawings to guide installation processes
- Skilled in the use of EPDM rubber installation, tiled roofing, hand tools, power tools, and other machinery necessary for roofing tasks
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and sustained manual labor in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of masonry, carpentry, and general construction practices enhances versatility on-site but not essential
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures relevant to roofing and construction environments
