Self-Employed Van Mechanic / Driver
We are a friendly, family-run, independent and ambitious same-day courier and delivery business based in Leicester, operating a fleet of over 25 light commercial vans (Mercedes Sprinter, Renault Master, Iveco) across the UK and Europe.
We’re now looking for a skilled and reliable self-employed Van Mechanic / Driver to help us with fleet maintenance, van servicing and repairs, and to occasionally step in behind the wheel for same-day deliveries when needed.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn about fleet management, MOT preparation, and light commercial vehicle (LCV) maintenance in a professional yet relaxed environment.
What you’ll do
- Maintain and repair our fleet of vans (Mercedes Sprinter, Renault Master, Iveco)
- Carry out van servicing, diagnostics, oil and filter changes, brake pad replacements, tyres, and minor electrical repairs
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and complete vehicle technician records
- Support the team by driving company vans on dedicated same-day courier jobs when needed, usually direct collections and deliveries rather than multi-drop routes.
- Help ensure our fleet mechanic operations run smoothly and safely
What we’re looking for
✅ Experience in van maintenance, repair, and vehicle diagnostics
✅ Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
✅ Full UK driving licence
✅ Independence, reliability, and problem-solving attitude
✅ Flexibility to occasionally drive on delivery routes
✅ Pride in doing a job properly and safely
