Opportunity
We're looking for an enthusiastic Service Technician/MOT tester to join our specialist VAG team. You will be working exclusively on manufacturers Volkswagen, Audi, Seat & Skoda, using type approved and genuine parts, working in a well-established recently refurbished garage with a friendly team.
The Offer
- Competitive basic salary and additional bonus scheme.
- Contracted hours 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Hours are negotiable to accomodate child care needs. A part time position would be considered for the right candidate.
- We offer 31 days holiday including bank holidays (which we are always closed for). We close over Christmas and New Year.
- Technicians are rewarded with a bonus every quarter, this is based on measurements of safety, quality, and delivery. Meaning positive customer feedback and good housekeeping are valued just as much as hitting sales targets.
- Excellent pension scheme: contribute 8% of your salary and we'll contribute 10%, giving you an enhanced employer contribution to support your retirement savings.

We completed the installation of an MOT bay in January 2023, we have the latest diagnostic equipment, we regularly upgrade our tools for specific jobs to ensure our technicians have what they need, and we are proud to have one of the cleanest workshops in the Northeast.

Candidate
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced MOT tester.
- You will be confident carrying out basic vehicle repairs, maintenance, and servicing. Not essentilly VAG related.
- You will be able to diagnose minor mechanical faults accurately and carry out repairs to a high standard within manufacturers specified repair times.
- You should be comfortable using diagnostic equipment to reset service lights, identify faults and be able to carry out basic electrical repairs.
- You will have a proactive and an enthusiastic approach, be self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision.
- You will be able to complete all documentation to the required standard, maintain equipment and keep your tools and work area clean and tidy.
- You will have strong communication skills and good attention to detail. A full clean driving license is essential.
- Above all, you’ll want to be part of a capable, motivated team who feel the same way. We may be a small garage, but we’re a great one!
