The Opportunity
We're recruiting Wrap Around Care Assistants and Activity Leaders to join our team at Eden Park. This is a great opportunity to get involved delivering our school holiday camps as an Activity Leader, with the option to pick up further shifts during term-time wraparound sessions and, for the right person, at weekends too. Whether you're looking for holiday work or something more regular, we'll work with your availability.
Overview
As a Wrap Around Care Assistant & Activity Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality childcare and activity sessions at Eden Park. You'll supervise children during before- and after-school care, lead engaging activity sessions during the school holidays, and help ensure a safe, positive environment at all times. This paid position offers an energetic and rewarding way to work with children while supporting their development through fun, activity-based experiences.
Responsibilities
Supervise children during wraparound care sessions before and after school, and during holiday camp days, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Lead and facilitate a variety of engaging activities such as sports, arts & crafts, and outdoor games. Support the delivery of structured activity plans while adapting to children's interests and needs. Maintain a safe environment by following safeguarding procedures and conducting regular safety checks. Build positive relationships with children, encouraging participation and confidence. Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children in a friendly and professional manner. Assist with setting up activity spaces and tidying away equipment after sessions.
Requirements
Experience working with children in roles such as teaching, coaching, nannying, childcare, or a similar environment. Strong communication skills Enthusiastic and energetic, with a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to follow session plans accurately while staying flexible to children's interests. Relevant qualifications such as Child Protection/Safeguarding, First Aid, or sports coaching certificates are desirable but not essential. Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check to work with children.
Availability
This role is based at our Eden Park provision the hours are set at 15:00pm - 18:00pm . We're primarily recruiting to cover school holiday camps, with genuine scope for more regular hours including weekend sessions for anyone who wants additional work.
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
