Overview
We are seeking 2 professional and friendly Receptionist's to join our team. The ideal candidates will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Vacancy 1 is advertised for 30 hours per week and vacancy 2 is for 16 hours per week. ***Both vacancies are TBC with regards to hours per week and weekly working pattern.***
Duties
- Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Handle correspondence, including emails and clinical letters
- Respond to needs of the doctors and nurses during surgery
- Input and extract information from the Practice computer system
- Dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions and raising prescriptions as per practice protocols
- Always observe health and safety guidelines
- Always observe Confidentiality policy and guidelines
- Opening up / locking up of practice premises (where required) and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols
Qualifications
- Experience of dealing with the public and providing outstanding customer service is essential
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure are also essential
- NHS experience is desirable, along with knowledge of systmOne. However, full training will be given
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- A professional demeanour with a customer-focused attitude
- The ability to cover planned absences would be required
