Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Waiter to lead our hospitality team within a vibrant restaurant environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, ensuring smooth service delivery
- Oversee food preparation and presentation, maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Manage guest relations, addressing concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with training staff on service procedures, food safety, and upselling techniques
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Implement efficient time management strategies to optimise service flow during busy periods
- Lead by example in delivering excellent guest services and fostering a positive team environment
- Promote upselling of menu items to maximise revenue opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant management, ideally with culinary or kitchen background
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Good understanding of basic maths for handling transactions and inventory management
- Prior experience in serving or guest services roles is highly desirable
- Ability to demonstrate effective time management in a high-pressure environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Familiarity with upselling strategies to enhance guest experience and revenue generation
