Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team on a four on, four off shift basis. Duties
- Safely operate electric HGV Class 1 vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-drive inspections of the vehicles and trailers.
- Load and secure goods, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety compliance.
- Deliver goods promptly to designated locations, providing excellent customer service and professional communication.
- Complete accurate PODs.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle throughout your shift, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Follow all company policies related to driving hours, rest periods, and health & safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards customer service.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as securing loads.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and support overtime, as required.
