Salary: £15.32ph
Hours: Red shift Sunday-Tuesday (Alternate Wednesdays) 09:00am - 21:00pm OR Blue shift Thursday – Sunday (alternate Wednesday) 09:00am – 21:00pm.
Main purpose of the role:
The main purpose of a Despatch Operative/Picker is to accurately select and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the customer orders are fulfilled efficiently. Pickers have a crucial role in supply chain by ensure the orders are prepared correctly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to pick cases of product from one pallet and building it on to another.
- Adhere to health and safety rules and responsibilities
- Person is flexible and able to work in different area’s of despatch completing different roles.
- Can work with technology i.e. tablet or pick scanner and understand how to operate them.
- Ensure you are cleaning as you go to ensure you are working in a safe area.
- Complete temperature checks to ensure product is with in temperature tolerance
- Report any issues to the shift manger
- Able to complete stocktakes at the end of shift
Job requirements:
Skills & Experience required to do this role...
- Able to speak and understand English
- Numerical skills
- PPT Licence is preferred
- Timely and punctually
- Able to use a tablet or a pick scanner
- Flexible – has the ability to complete different task upon request
- Able to work in a team environment or on your own
- Experienced in operating MHE (has a licence)
- Able to work in cold environment
