Are you an experience, motivated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary school setting? We are looking for a compassionate and reliable SEN TAs to support pupils with special educational needs at a welcoming primary school in Launceston. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, helping them stay engaged, confident, and on task throughout the school day.
- Adapt and create tailored learning resources to meet individual needs and ensure pupils can fully access the curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality support.
- Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour through a nurturing, inclusive approach.
- Assist with classroom activities, learning interventions, and small-group support when required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs (school, nursery, youth work, or care backgrounds all considered).
- Confident in adapting learning materials and support strategies to suit individual needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Patient, calm under pressure, and genuinely passionate about helping children progress.
- Reliable, committed, and excited about contributing to a supportive school team.
