About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Aluminium Window & Door Fabricator who can also undertake estimating, quotation preparation, and parts ordering. The successful candidate will be involved in the complete process from interpreting drawings and pricing projects through to fabrication and production. As the business expands your role will evolve into a more managerial role, recruiting a dedicated fabricator to allow you to spend more time developing the product and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble aluminium windows, doors, and screens.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates from customer enquiries and tender documents.
- Measure and calculate material requirements.
- Order aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, and associated components.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding lead times and deliveries.
- Assist with production planning and scheduling.
- Maintain stock levels and monitor material usage.
- Ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and installation teams as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in aluminium window and door fabrication.
- Knowledge of aluminium systems such as JACK, Smart, Senior, AluK, Reynaers, or similar.
- Experience preparing estimates and quotations.
- Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications.
- Good IT skills and familiarity with estimating software and spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Desirable
- Experience using LogiKal or other window and door software.
- Knowledge of procurement and stock control.
- Driving licence.
Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
