An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s leading providers of pet cremation services. Based at Whitley Brook Pet & Equine Crematorium, we are now looking for an empathetic and enthusiastic individual to join our experienced team as a Crematorium Operative.
No experience? No problem. We provide full training and ongoing support; we want to hear from you if you have:
- Empathy for others when they are in need
- Detail orientated to ensure all specific wishes are captured and carried out
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Previous experience of manual handling best practices would be advantageous, but training can and will be provided
- A full clean driving licence (Driving licence (Category B) and ADR licence (classes 6.1, 6.2) would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
What will you be doing?
- Operating and running the cremators on site at the crematorium, loading carrying out cremation and then processing the ashes of pets ranging from small animals to horses
- Liaising with clients, practices and customers and being an ambassador for the Crematorium showing empathy and care when collecting pets
- Responsible for carrying out maintenance and cleaning duties within the crematorium
- Maintaining and completing the appropriate paperwork for deliveries and collections
- Driving specifically planned routes (if required to cover a driver) to make routine collections of pets and clinical waste from veterinary surgeries and hospitals
In addition to a salary of £12.71 per hour, you will receive a range of benefits including:
