Care Assistant – Dementia Care Home
Location: North Shields
Pay: started at £12.71 per hour
Hours: Full-time Nights, working on a 2 week rota, alternative weekends.
We are a family-run dementia care home seeking a caring and reliable Care Assistant to join our team. You will help residents live well in a calm, supportive environment, providing person-centred care and promoting independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, meals, and daily activities
- Support residents’ independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate care records and collaborate with the team to meet residents’ needs
About You:
- Some care experience preferred (ideally in a care home setting)
- Care Certificate or willingness to complete training
- Empathetic, patient, and reliable
- Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
