Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen & Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting culinary operations and assisting with customer service and sales activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a friendly approach to engaging with customers. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Assist with meal preparation, food safety procedures, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing information about menu items, and processing sales transactions.
- Maintain stock levels of food supplies and kitchen equipment, ensuring organisation and cleanliness.
- Support the sales team by promoting products and assisting customers with their selections.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers.
- Assist in general cleaning duties within the kitchen and sales areas to uphold hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is advantageous.
- Experience in meal or food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Friendly and professional manner with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in customer service is essential.
