Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and organised Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, manage inventory, and oversee the preparation and dispatch of orders. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth distribution, efficient materials handling, and seamless order fulfillment, supporting our commitment to high quality service.
You’ll oversee a small team in the warehouse, ensuring all goods are handled with care, properly maintained, and efficiently prepared for transport and installation. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with horticultural awareness with a strong focus on quality, safety, and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, organising, and loading of plants, materials, and equipment for projects and events. Managing a changeable workload and working to tight deadlines.
- Lead and supervise warehouse team members, assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring workload is completed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Prepare materials for installations, ensuring plants are in premium condition, equipment is ready, and deliveries are organized according to project schedules and client specifications.
- Ensuring vehicles are loaded securely and all items required onsite are accounted for.
- Maintain stock, conducting regular checks on plant health, materials, tools, and consumables, and reporting shortages or damage as necessary.
- Ensure health and safety compliance, maintaining a tidy and safe workspace, checking equipment, reporting incidents, and encouraging best practice across the team.
- Liaise with installation and operations teams, ensuring smooth communication between warehouse preparation and onsite delivery; adapt quickly to last-minute project changes or client needs.
- Support quality control and presentation standards, ensuring plants and materials leaving the warehouse meet the company’s aesthetic and horticultural standards.
- Assist with documentation such as delivery records, RAMS documents, equipment checklists, and end-of-job summaries..
- Support onboarding and training of new warehouse and operations staff, reinforcing company values and horticultural care standards.
- Utilise various stock and scheduling management systems and platforms.
- Proficient IT skills and ability to work on multiple systems and online platforms.
- Ability to drive company vehicles, with experience driving transit vans and Luton box vans.
- Experience operating forklift machinery preferred
