Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Line Leader to oversee daily operations within our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of food safety standards, and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the activities of the production line to meet daily targets and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with HACCP protocols and other food safety regulations at all times
- Monitor the production process to identify and resolve any mechanical or operational issues promptly
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, performing basic maintenance or reporting faults as necessary
- Enforce health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Train new staff on operational procedures, safety standards, and quality control measures
- Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and safety incidents
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet company specifications and regulatory requirements
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production or manufacturing environments, ideally with leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is essential
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with industrial machinery is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring, weighing, and data recording purposes
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with other departments
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
