Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: 19 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (Working pattern: Monday & Tuesday all day and a further 1/2 day which can be flexible which day)
Salary: Up to £17,200 pro rata (£34,000 FTE – Subject to experience)

Milton Keynes College are looking for a Workplace Trainer with expert Commis Chef skills. You will work in collaboration with the Apprenticeship delivery team to develop and deliver current programmes including Commis Chef – the apprenticeship standards dictate that you must be qualified to at least Level 2 or above yourself and have relevant industrial technical competence/experience.
As a Workplace Trainer, your role will be dynamic, varied and highly rewarding - working with employers, apprentices and the college curriculum teams. You will have some autonomy with your diary, with the expectation of certain days/times on campus delivering face to face lessons, appointments to be scheduled with employers at their workplace and some working from home also supported. You will be teaching for 2 days a week in our Bletchley campus and have a further ½ day for planning and marking on another day.
Workplace trainers are assigned a caseload of apprentices to train and assess throughout the evolution of their apprenticeship. Our apprentices’ journey runs all year round, therefore you are able to take your annual leave at any time of the year.
